Familys

Family is very important to most people. Even though each family has there own traditions and customs. Each family is the same because they have a few things in common ands that’s unity and support. Regardless of who you are and who you like, family should always be there for you. Both of my parents where born and raised in Mexico. They both came to the united states to find a better life. They both have learned to read, write, and speak English. But they still have there traditions that where passed down to them. And now there passing them down to us their children.
One tradition that I absolutely love is the Sunday dinners that we have. We all get together and cook up a big feast. Wheatear were doing mole, tamales, pozole, or tacos de carne asada, it’s a pleasure to have my family together. Another tradition that we do on Sunday evening is go buy pan dulce (sweet bread) from the bakery and make some delicious hot chocolate. And watch a funny movie or play some games.
Both of my parents are very religious and go to church every Sunday morning. I have noticed that religion also plays another major role in families. It can make a difference in the way there brought up, or the way they dress and act. I have seen families bring to different cultures together. For example one friend of mine is catholic and her husband is Jewish. They had there childs baptism and combined both cultures into the party. I thought that was a great idea, for their child to be brought up in two different cultures. That way he would be exposed to more of the world. That way their child can pass on different traditions to his children.
Even though sometimes families fight and argue you know that they will always be there for each other. Whether its going to your older sister for some advice, or going to your brother for some help with your car. Or even going to your parent for some help with money. Family is very important. Not necessarily does it have to be blood family but it can also be close friends. So it is important to be close to those around you and help each other out. Because you never know when the day might come that you will need a helping hand.
